• Hitt. wars-, warsiye-. According to Kloekhorst (EDHIL: 969ff.), the verb means 'lift' (oneself),  'refresh' (spirit), 'reconcile', 'put oneself together' rather than 'appease', 'soothe'. He rejects the connection to the root *h2uers- 'rain'.
