• CLuv. utar 'word'?, 'spell'? (EDHIL: 932f.). Kloekhorst, however, connects these Anatolian words with the root *weth2-.

• Hitt. wātarnahh- 'order', 'instruct' (EDHIL: 988f.)

• Hitt. watarnahha- 'message', 'instruction' (EDHIL: 988f.). Kloekhorst rejects the connection of watarnahh- with Hitt. uttar 'word', 'matter' but he does not provide an alternative etymology for watarnahh-.
