• Hitt. wars- warsiya- 'appease', 'soothe'. However, according to Kloekhorst (EDHIL: 969ff.), wars-  rather means 'lift' (oneself),  'refresh' (spirit), 'reconcile', 'put oneself together'. He rejects the connection of wars- with the root *h2uers- 'rain'.
