• Hitt. hārs- 'till' (the soil) EDHIL: 312f. Kloekhorst points out that hars- maens 'to till' rather than 'to plough' and is related to Hitt. harra- 'to crush'. He further argues that the root *h2erh3- also had the meaning 'to crush' (the land).
