• Hitt. huwai- 'run', 'hurry', 'spread' (HED 3: 419f.). Kloekhorst (EDHIL: 366f.) assigns these verbs to the root *h2ueh1- 'blow'. García Ramón (2016) connects huwai- with Lat. iuvō 'to help', Skt. av- 'to help, protect', PIE *h2euh1- 'to help', assuming the development 'run' > 'help' for this root.
